This week's featured photo is from a Photo Exhibit first created for widescreen broadcast during the prelude music for the “Global Commemorative Service for Florence Nightingale & Nursing,” convened at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC in April, 2010, the International Year of the Nurse / Florence Nightingale Centennial. This Exhibit featured 96 pictures each representing one of the eight United Nations Millennium Development Goals. As UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has keenly observed, all of these Goals are related to health, directly or indirectly. Many of these photos demonstrate a problem represented within these Goals. Other photos show a key part of the solution. Many feature how nurses and midwives are achieving these Goals. Please return to this site often to see all 96 photos, over time, as a new one is featured each week.
